Meet The Council
SEAT #1
Mary Huerta
Mary is new to the council, but not Springdale; she has lived here 20 years! She has 5 children that have been raised here and she loves the community.
Mary looks forward to serving on the town council, getting to know more of the community, and learning how local government works.
Mary appreciates this opportunity to learn and grow with her community.

SEAT #2
DEBBIE CLARKE
Debbie is newer to the council, but she is retired and happy to volunteer within the community she lives in.
Debbie served in the US Navy as an electrician and when she was a broker in real estate she went with a group of realtors to Bay St. Louis to help build a house for habitat for humanity for one of the Katrina survivors.
She stays busy with book club, being a Grange member, driving, bowling, Seniors Alive, staying active with the VA, and sitting on council seat #2 for the Springdale Town Hall.
SEAT #3

SEAT #4
MELISSA WALLACE
Melissa is college educated but world trained. While pursuing a degree in family counseling she was given the opportunity to work as a Chaplain of a local hospital and volunteer at a detox center. She has volunteered with local domestic violence programs and has given her insight on ongoing problems.
The horse world has provided Melissa a reliable income. She says that being thrown from a horse, kicked and stomped on has been the easiest part of being a trainer. The hard part was learning to be strong with the most difficult of people.
As Melissa's days come to pass, her hope is to use all of her life experiences to be of value to her town of Springdale.
SEAT #5
Christine Cannon
Most of the time you'll find Christine at our local school district where she not only works, but also volunteers in sports to support students and families.
Christine serves on the Town Council and makes it her priority to carry the voices and concerns that are shared with her throughout her daily interactions.
She enjoys networking with people and helping them make connections to one another for support and resources. Living in Springdale, Christine has established a deep sense of community and connection.
Christine is proud to be a part of this town and honored to serve our community to the best of her abilities.
